As the entry level of high-definition, 720p HD is often referred to as HD ready and the label HD ready HDTVs refers to a TV that can support at least 720p HD.

1080i. 1080i is an HD broadcasting format used widely in countries like the US. Although it is not an HD resolution per se, it is used to refer to the quality of a HD broadcaster’s picture resolution and is an alternative to 720p broadcasting. Some regard 1080i as nearly full HD instead of full HD because its picture quality is close to that of full HD 1080p but is not because a few differences in the technology used to display and broadcast each format.

1080p often referred to as Full HD, 1080 p is essentially 1920 pixels by 1080 lines of progressive resolution that displays a full 16:9 aspect ratio picture and is considered the highest possible resolution available on consumer HDTVs today. An 1080p HDTV can support 720p, 1080i and Full HD and will display the pictures without flickering or downscaling the signal. Although 1080p is full HD it is not used for broadcasting because of its high bandwidth requirements but it used for DVD/Blu-ray and digital media content.

The device only has 3 buttons, one for the power/screen lock, and two for adjusting the volume up and down, while the touchscreen controls everything else. The 1.5-inch screen is bright and colorful, offering clear texts.

It is easy to familiarize with the basic usage. On the home screen are four icons coupled with clear labels. To view the other options and load more icons, just swipe to the left or right.

However, when it comes to browsing for songs, it only shows 4 songs on the screen at once. And even though nano jumps quickly to a letter, it’s still difficult to find what exactly you are looking for.

Nano also allows users to do various tricks with its touchscreen. Twisting with two fingers rotates the display, swiping to the right takes you back one screen, and tapping and swiping in the radio and music menus bring up extra features such as live pause.

The quality of music is good, and the built-in FM radio is pretty reasonable. To tune in, one must press the arrows displayed on the screen to find signals, or manually find a frequency by swiping a bar at the bottom of the screen. As you listen to the station, the device displays whether the signal is good enough.

One feature that is cool here is its ability to pause a radio station for up to 15 minutes and skip forwards and backwards through the recording.

First Marathon Robot In The World

How does the electronic cigarette work?

Electronic cigarettes have come a long way from the original Ruyan design - and indeed from the 1963 smokeless cigarette patented by Herbert A. Gilbert in 1963.
However, the basic concept is still the same.
Nicotine is dissolved in a solution consisting of water and propylene glycol. Propylene glycol is a solution which is used in many other food stuffs and medicines and, according to Dr Murray Laugesen of Health New Zealand, consists of two extremely safe molecules.
Critics of the electronic cigarette claim that this propylene glycol is also present in anti-freeze. That's pretty meaningless. Flour can be used to make bombs, which doesn't mean that flour is dangerous in and of itself. We also like to point out the other ingredient found in both electronic cigarettes and anti-freeze - water!
When a user wants his intake of nicotine, he drags upon the e-cigarette. The inflow of air activates a microprocessor which prompts an internal atomizer to push tiny droplets of the nicotine/proylene glycol solution into the airstream.
The propylene glycol combines with the air to produce both the satisfaction, feeling and appearance of tobacco smoke. However, there is no tobacco involved in the process.
Within a few seconds of the solution being blown out, it disappears completely.
Experts believe that because there are very few carcinogens in those electronic cigarettes tested by the FDA (concentrations of those nitrogen specific carcinogens that were found were thousands of times lower than those in regular cigarettes, and similar in concentration to those found in many food stuffs), and because no combustion takes places, electronic cigarettes are safer than regular cigarettes. However, long term studies that confirm those theories have not yet been carried out.
Some companies have also suggested that the electronic cigarette could help nicotine cessation.
New Zealand research shows that the electronic cigarette can help relieve nicotine cravings and increase the level of nicotine in the blood, while surveys suggest that electronic cigarettes can at least replace cigarettes.
However, until long term studies prove that nicotine cessation can be used with electronic cigarettes companies in the UK and the US may not legally market them as cessation devices.

Before you go rushing off to send it somewhere to get repaired have you thought that maybe you could fix the ps3 yourself. At home. Seriously it is what I ended up doing; here are a few brief possibilities as to what is causing the yellow light of death.
Dust is an enemy of your playstation 3. Check the ventilation slots on your machine for an excess build up of dust. If there is clean it away with a dry cloth. Remember it is important not to get liquids anywhere near your playstation.
The next thing to try is to take a look at all the connections going into your ps3. Are they securely in place? Sounds simple but you will be surprised how many people's console starts flashing the yellow light of death because a friend trips over the power cable and pulls it out slightly from the back of your console.
Next up just touch your console. Is it really hot? Overheating is probably the most common reason for the yellow light of death. What it is advisable to do is keep your ps3 cool whilst playing, especially if it is a prolonged gaming session.
One of the best ways to keeping it cool is you should take a look at where you store your console. If it is in an entertainment unit with all your other audio visual gadgets this could be causing an excessive build up of heat. This is a problem as the console will only be able to circulate warm air and never cool down.

Part 2. How to convert YouTube videos to AVI/MP4/3GP/WMV/MOV/iPod/Zune?

The software you need is Xilisoft Video Converter ( free download ).



Here is how it works:

1. Import YouTube FLV file to the program.



2. Choose an output format. For example, if you want to watch the YouTube video on iPad, you can choose iPad MPEG-4 as the output format.



3. Start to convert.

Part 3. How to burn YouTube video to DVD?

If you want to burn YouTube FLV videos to DVD, you will need DVD authoring software. Here, Id recommend using AVS DVD Converter. Below is the screenshot of this program:





Lets take a look at how it performs:

1. Import videos converted from YouTube (in Part 2) to the program by clicking the Browse button.



2. Click To DVD button on the main panel if you want to create a DVD. For SVCD/VCD click To MPEG button. In the list of video disc types (Burn To) select one of the preset profiles.





3. After you have set up all the conversion parameters, hit the Convert Now! button to start converting.

4. Insert a blank DVD into your computer optical disc drive. Make sure that the disc is compatible with your drive. AVS Video Burner application will be launched to guide you through the burning process so that you could record your converted video onto a disc.
